shown that gold nanoparticles inhibited the production of molecules that promote inflammation.
Inflammation is a common contributing factor in skin diseases such as Rosacea. Inflammation of the
skin is also common for people with Acne so gold is beneficial for people with acne prone skin too.
ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES:
Gold nanoparticles may have antioxidant properties, which can be beneficial in limiting the production of free radical molecules that could damage skin cells. Free radicals are known to damage DNA and proteins such as collagen, which can lead to faster aging of the skin. In addition, one study has shown that gold nanoparticles in combination with the antioxidant molecules epigallocatechin gallate (found in green tea) and alpha-lipoic acid had strong wound healing capabilities.
